Cycladic: A brand new Greek inter-island airline
This article was originally written in 2022. Unfortunately, Cycladic Airlines are no longer in operation in 2024. Check Ferryscanner or Ferryhopper for direct ferries between the islands.
Cycladic, Greece’s first intra-island airline, has just launched direct flights between the Greek islands! In addition to ferries, visitors and permanent residents of the islands will now have an alternative way to travel around the Aegean Sea.

At this stage, the exclusive air carrier offers regular connections between Mykonos, Santorini, Naxos, Paros, Syros, Crete and Rhodes. The iconic Milos will be added later.
The company will also provide charter flights, suitable for travelers who want to get around the Greek islands in style.
Meet the fleet
The Operator of Cycladic is iFly S.A., the largest Greek private aircraft and helicopter management company. The Cycladic fleet will consist of 3 single turbine Cessna Caravans, which have been created with the highest environmental standards.
These luxurious, state-of-the-art airplanes will provide an unforgettable flying experience. Flying at lower altitudes, they look more like private jets than standard airplanes!

The large windows, in combination with the abundant natural light, will offer passengers unique views over the Aegean.
Each aircraft has a capacity of 12 passengers and 2 pilots. Depending on the route, flights will last from a mere 20 minutes to a little over an hour.
A unique vision
Cycladic Airlines aims to facilitate the connections between the Cyclades and other Greek islands throughout the year, offering reliable and time-saving services.
The newly established project will be useful to permanent residents of the islands. At the same time, it will redefine the concept of island-hopping in Greece for visitors.
Andreas Sotiropoulos, a representative of Cycladic, said:
“We are excited to introduce Cycladic, which will enable inter-island transportation for modern passengers. Our company will offer a balanced combination of experience, flexibility and convenience.
Our goal is not just to facilitate seasonal travelers, but also to enhance the daily life of Greek islanders, while at the same time aiming for sustainable tourism development”.
How to book tickets with Cycladic Airlines
You can book your flights between the Cyclades and other Greek islands at the Cycladic Airlines website. Before booking, please read the terms and conditions carefully.
Passengers are allowed one piece of luggage of up to 23 kg, plus one personal item of up to 2.3 kg, which must fit under the front seat.
At the time of writing, one-way fares start at 109 euro. You can subscribe to the company’s newsletter for any announcements.
Due to the airplane’s small capacity (remember, only 12 seats!) you should really book your tickets as early as possible if you are interested in flying with Cycladic.

Greek island flights vs ferries
Apart from these new exclusive planes, you can always take the ferry between the Greek islands. In my opinion, sailing in the Aegean Sea is a lovely experience!
Ferry ticket prices between the islands vary widely. Depending on the route and type of ferry, prices start at around 7 euro, and go up to over 150 euro.
You can use Ferryscanner, a reliable search engine, to check ferry routes and book your ferry tickets to / between the Greek islands.

Hi! I’m Vanessa from Athens and I love helping people explore my country. Follow me on FB and Instagram for more news, photos and inspiration about Greece.
Hi in June, I will be flying from Oklahoma City,Ok, USA to the island of Paros, Greece. I am able to check into my loggings on June 17 @ 4pm. I need to figure out where to fly into and how to coordinate another flight or ferry ride in time to get to my hotel in Paros. I plan to depart Oklahoma on June 16.
Thank you,
Crystal
Hi Crystal, I am assuming you are flying into Athens first. You would then get an onward flight or ferry to Paros. You can check ferry schedules on Ferryscanner, many of them have been released already, and you can get a ferry to Paros from either Piraeus or Rafina ports. Feel free to email me at realgreekexperiences@gmail.com if you want more help.
