However, your country of origin might be asking for a negative PCR or Rapid antigen test when you are returning home. Or you may want to take a Covid test for another reason.

Here is where to take a Covid test in Greece.

Where can I get a Covid-19 test in Greece?

You can get a Rapid Antigen and PCR test at certain airports in Greece. Check the airport websites for more information.

In addition, you can take a Rapid Antigen test in most pharmacies in Greece. Ask your hotel or local pharmacy for more information.

Travel Greece 2021 - Restrictions and measures

In addition, Covid-19 tests can be taken at private medical labs around Greece. You may need to book an appointment, though not all labs require it.

I suggest you schedule your appointment as soon as you know when you need your test for, as availability might be limited in some areas. Also, note that some labs may not be open on Sundays and perhaps Saturdays.

The results of your Rapid test will normally be emailed you in 1-2 hours, while for PCR tests it may take up to a day. The name on your test certificate must match your name as written on your passport.

Maximum prices for these tests are fixed, at 10 euro for a Rapid Antigen test and 47 euro for a PCR test. If you are flying with Aegean / Olympic Air, there may be a small discount for tests taken at the airport.

Here is a list of labs around Greece where you can take a Covid-19 test. I have included phone numbers, websites, and the location on Google Maps to make it easier!

    • Unfortunately nothing came up from my internet search. You could try asking your hotel / room owner if any pharmacies or doctors in Kimolos do the tests, otherwise you could do it in Milos or wherever you go next. You may have seen it already, if not here is an article on Kimolos, which is one of my favourite Cyclades 🙂

      Reply
    • I haven’t found any in the town itself, but I can only assume that they aren’t listed on googlemaps. It would be best to ask your hotel / room owner, as there will definitely be at least one lab, plus some pharmacies have started doing them now. If you have news, please feel free to post again and I can then add it to the article 🙂

  3. Hello! I’m trying to find out if the NHS Covid Pass from the UK which generates 48 hour QR codes to show negative antigen tests is accepted for entry into attractions/trains in Greece. Do you happen to know? Thank you!

    Reply
    • If I’m right, the NHS Covid Pass is a vaccination certificate? Yes, this is totally fine. I am not sure if the QR code can be scanned, given it’s a non-EU vaccination certificate, but they will just read it when needed. I would suggest carrying a paper copy with you, as it might make it easier to read. You can find some more information in this article. Enjoy your holiday!

  4. Hi, thank you for this article. I have one question – are there any labs anywhere in Greece that do non-invasive saliva rapid antigen tests (the ones where you spit into a cube) that are accepted for travel?

    Reply
    • I’m afraid I don’t know. I am hoping that some pharmacies would do them, so it would be best to ask around when you are in Greece.
